Chief Dan George
What a long strange but wonderful journey it has been!
It was back in the sixties when the hippie thing was in full swing when I met and became friends with Leonard George, a Coast Salish First Nations man and son of the legendary Native North American activist, Chief Dan George.
In this series of interviews you can hear about a truly inspirational and historically important family who continue to play a critical role in the advancement of their tribe, reconciliation of the Canadian nation with their First Nation Peoples and a constant inspiration to me.

PART 3: THE GEORGE FAMILY LEGACY
Leonard George has brought this documentary from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to my attention. The video chronicles his father's involvement in the film "Little Big Man". Enjoy!
The beauty of the trees
the softness of the air
the fragrance of the grass

And my heart soars. - Chief Dan George
"Thank you Grandfather for the time we spent together and may your heart soar like an eagle." - Quatsame (Danny Mack).
